TREGUFF FARM - COWBRIDGE

The 400 acre stock farm is bordered on the West side by the River Thaw.

There is a small stream, the Nant Treguff, running past the cottages, with a lovely streamside path, which is perfectly safe for dogs & their owners.

The cottages are at the entrance to the working farm with its own parking area.

This beautiful farm in the centre of the Vale of Glamorgan has a mixture of cultivation and stock some of which is in the flood plain of the River Thaw. This used to be an extensive overflow area from the river prior to the barrage put in place above Cowbridge Town his flooding over many centuries has made it some of the richest pastures to the west of Cardiff..

Treguff Farm has a mission to make strong enviromental progress in energy savings and uses solar thermal heating of the hot water system. In addition there are many heritage trees including a mixed apple orchard andmany areas set aside for flora and fauna. Our main water supply is bore water for the farm & holiday cottages.

Within three miles of Treguff is the charming market town of Cowbridge and a number of interesting villages. There are several excellent pubs which do good inexpensive food within five minutes of the farm - it's hardly worth cooking after a lazy day.
